Mountain Valley Pipeline filed their ninth Request for Notice to Proceed in the FERC docket on February 7.
In this filing, MVP seeks permission to access properties for pipeline construction in Craig, Montgomery, Roanoke, and Franklin Counties in Virginia, as well as facilities construction in the aforementioned counties with the addition of Giles County in Virginia.
MVP requests that the Notice to Proceed be granted by February 15.
Other documents filed in the FERC Docket on February 7 include:
MVP’s Weekly Status Report, in which they indicate that “construction will commence in the next reporting period in select areas that were approved as part of Notice to Proceed Nos. 1 and 2.”
Comments filed on behalf of Roanoke County by Richard Caywood, stating that MVP’s proposed “treatment plan” for the Bent Mountain Apple Orchard Rural Historic District “is premature until a full assessment of project-related effects has been performed,” which Roanoke County argues is not possible without considering the VDHR staff’s evaluation that “the historic orchard roads are contributing resources inside the district.”
Comments filed by Karen Maute, detailed as an update here.
