The venue is in the Greenville area. Cell phone service is very dodgy!
GOOGLE MAPS, etc. WILL LEAD YOU ASTRAY: PLEASE FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS!!
•Coming from the South, take either Rt. 219 north or Rt 12 north. Look for and follow Seeds of Resistance signs at Rt. 122. More signs with the milage on them will lead you to Larew’s Pavilion.
Coming from the North, take either Rt. 219 south or Rt. 12 south.
Look for and follow Seeds of Resistance signs at Rt. 122. More signs with the mileage on them will lead you to Larew’s Pavilion.

Details of the October 16th Bent Mountain Celebration (2:30 PM):

Neighbors–
Just when you thought you were getting a little weary and discouraged–INSPIRATION!!!
Let’s come together for an afternoon of food, song and community at the Bent Mountain Center and give a hear filled a generous thanks to our our neighbors near and far, for all we have and will continue to accomplish together,  and all we have to give thanks for:
CELEBRATION of The CORN HARVEST: Our multi county  harvest celebration prayer will be led by our own Diane Elliott of the Cherokee Nation and owner of Local Roots restaurant, together with Mikasee Horinek of the Ponca Nation, who will travel to join us from Standing Rock.
SPEAKERS: Leader of Bold Nebraska Jane Kleeb and farmer-landowner Art Tanderup of the Cowboy Indian Alliance , and student leaders from Virginia Student Environmental Coalition and leaders along the MVP will speak-
-THE PONCA CORN! Landowners from each of the MVP- affected Virginia counties will bring Ponca corn from their plantings this summer, and we’ll give thanks together.
MUSIC: We’ll host musicians from several counties! Details shortly!
– FOOD: Potluck: If your name starts with A- J, please bring an entree; if it starts K-T please bring a salad or veggie dish; T-Z please bring dessert.
– Drinks/ Dry goods: The Bent Mountain Steering Group will provide water, tea and lemonade.
-SHELTER: We have a permanent picnic shelter and depending on the forecast we may need tent canopies– if you have one, please consider bringing it.
