Artivism VA and POWHR is continuing our monthly series of community gatherings in Eastern Montgomery County, Virginia in support of our organizing against the proposed MVP Boost Swann Compressor Station – and for the health and safety of our friends and neighbors in Eastmont!

The fourth Circle of Protection: Eastmont of 2026 will be on Sunday, October 18th from 2-5 PM in Shawsville, Virginia.

Following the program will be a potluck meal and y'all-come jam/song circle!

Attendees are encouraged to bring:

• A potluck dish to share!

• Your water bottle

• A comfortable folding / camp chair

And musicians, we're welcoming you to bring your acoustic instruments for an informal old time and country jam during the potluck.

The event will be located at 6905 Roanoke Rd, Shawsville, VA 24162. Parking is located on site close to the large pavilion, under which our program and potluck will be taking place.

In the event of inclement weather, we will notify registered folks beforehand and move next door to the community room at the Meadowbrook Library. In the case of moving the event here, parking will be around the side back of the library and community center, and the library community room will be accessed through the side entrance by route 460.
